Explore the Caribbean when visiting Callaloo Trinidadian Kitchen. The restaurant’s flavorful cuisine gives customers some insight into the country’s culture and tradition. One of the area’s newest restaurants, Callaloo was named the top new restaurant diners should try in PA for 2018, according to a list published by Buzzfeed.com.

The restaurant serves traditional Caribbean dishes from Trinidad and Tobago – with French, Indian, African, British and Chinese influences. Serving lunch and dinner, just reading the menu makes your mouth water.

Try shared plates, like Aloo Pepper Roti or Cassava Fries. Sandwiches are served on house-made coconut bread with tamarind garlic and cilantro sauces, topped with pineapple chow, paired with slaw, and includes a side of plantain chips. Lunch plates include Coconut Jerk Chicken, Spicy Pepper Beef, and Fish & Curried Shrimp. Check out their Buss-Up-Shut specialties, too. The restaurant also has signature drinks like LLB (lemon, lime and bitters), Peanut Punch (peanuts, milk, turbinado sugar and nutmeg) and Sorrel (Roselle hibiscus). Don’t forget to save room for dessert.
